Screen Free Week

Did you know that April 29th -May 5th is Screen Free Week? Join in with us and pledge to put away the iPads, computers, game systems, cell phones, and TV for the week! You may find new activities that you didn’t know you enjoyed so much with your new free time. Take this week as a chance to connect with family and friends by spending time with each other. You can start by checking out these ideas below.

Get outside!
With spring weather finally arriving get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Start a garden, go for a hike, or play a game of frisbee at a neighborhood park!

Try something new!
Learn to make a new recipe and include your child in on the fun! Your child can help add ingredients or mix ingredients together. Children are more likely to eat foods they help make, which makes this a great opportunity to try recipes packed with veggies!

Explore your town!
Visit a museum, have a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood, or go to the local farmers market.

After participating in screen free week, you may find that putting down electronics every now and then is a good thing! Use this extra time to spend with family and try new and exciting activities together.
